The Stellantis factory in Figueruelas (Zaragoza) has announced that it will cancel a total of 9 shifts between Monday and Tuesday on its production lines due to a shortage of required semiconductors. According to company sources, management has decided to suspend the morning and afternoon shifts on Line 1 on Monday, March 6 due to component availability problems. Line 1 assembles the Opel Crossland and Citroen C3 Aircross models. On the other hand, the night shift of Line 2, which manufactures the Opel Corsa, was cancelled on Sunday, a situation that will be maintained in the morning, afternoon and night shifts on Monday and Tuesday.
In Vigo, the management of the Stellantis plant informed the workers last week that they would face further interruptions in the production phase due to the lack of materials for the correct supply. As a result, activity was suspended on System 1 on Friday night and on all three shifts on Monday, March 6. Production is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, March 7 at 6 a.m. in this system, which assembles the Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 301 and C-Elyséee models.
